Vermont women's lacrosse (2-4) will head on the road to play LIU (2-4). Action from Brookvile, NY at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium will tip-off at 1 p.m.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- Vermont is coming off a 7-11 loss against Siena on Wednesday.
- Meghan O'Connor and Lydia Doraz both had a team-high two goals for the Catamounts last outing.
- Lydia Doraz leads Vermont with 15 goals on the season.
- Vermont ranks 7th in the country and 1st in the America East in clear percentage (93.8%)
- UVM also ranks 4th in the America East in draw controls per game (11.3). Sabine Godwin is 2nd in the America East in draw controls (4.2).
- The Catamounts return Anna Rosenberger and Sabine Godwin who each made the America East All-Rookie Team last year. UVM also returns Senior, Maddie Erskine, who recorded 29 goals and eight assists in 2023.
- UVM was picked fifth in the America East Preseason Poll. Reigning champion Binghamton was selected first in the poll, receiving six first-place votes.
SCOUTING THE SHARKS
- LIU has started the year off 2-4 with their most recent game beating Iona 7-5 this past Saturday,
- The Sharks were picked No. 1 in the NEC Preseason Poll after finishing with a record of 11-8 (9-1 NEC) in 2024. LIU won a NEC Championship defeating Sacred Heart 10-7 last year. The Sharks would lose in the opening round of the NCAA tournament to Virginia.
- Julia Trainor, a 2024 First Team All-Conference player and the Sharks' scoring leader (51 points, 31 goals, 21 assists), returns for her junior season. Trainor also led LIU with a team-high 21 ground balls last season.
- Vermont and LIU will meet for the 6th time in series history on Sunday. The last time these two teams meet in 2024, the Catamounts defeated the Sharks 15-9 at Virtue Field.
HOME OPENER
UVM begins the season with eight straight road games before its home opener against CCSU on Mar. 18. The matchup between the Cats and the Blue Devils will begin at 4 p.m. at Virtue Field.
