HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first minute, UMBC's Lauryn Warfield buried a goal to give the Retrievers a 1-0 lead. A minute later, Meghan O'Connor scored off a Lauren Lefebvre assist to tie the game at 1.
- After another UMBC goal, Vermont would go on a 2-0 run thanks to goals from Lydia Doraz and a woman-up goal from Karina Sethi. With nine minutes remaining in the first quarter, UVM led 3-2.
- Karina Sethi recorded her second goal of the game off a Caitlin Haggerty assist to give the Catamounts a 4-2 lead.
- At the 7:52 mark, UMBC's Lizzie Bateman responded with a goal as UVM still led 4-3.
- Vermont would go on a 4-0 run with goals from Lindsay Lefebvre, Meghan O'Connor, Lydia Doraz, and Caitlin Haggerty. UVM would lead UMBC 8-3 after the first quarter.
- At the 13:02 mark in the second quarter, Karina Sethi buried a hat-trick goal off a woman-up opportunity. Sethi extended Vermont's lead 9-3.
- One minute later, Meghan O'Connor would also notch a first half hat-trick.

- Three minutes later, the Catamounts would capitalize on the woman-up opportunity with Meghan O'Connor recording her fourth goal of the day.
- Caitlin Haggerty ended the third quarter scoring a goal off an Ava Wilde pass. Vermont would go into the fourth quarter up 15-10.
- After a UMBC goal in the first minute of the fourth quarter, the Catamounts converted on the woman-up opportunity with Maddie Erskine and Meghan O'Connor both recording goals. Catamounts led 17-11 with 10 minutes remaining.
- UMBC would end the game on a 3-1 run.
