BOSTON – The Vermont women's lacrosse team has been selected to finish fourth in the America East Preseason Poll. UVM received a total of 18 points to edge out UMBC who received 16 points in fourth place.

Voting was conducted by the league's head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own team.
Reigning champion UAlbany was selected first in the conference poll, receiving five first-place votes and a total of 35 points. Bryant finished second with 30 points, receiving the remaining first-place votes. UMass Lowell was third with 27 points. The Catamounts were fourth with 18 points, and UMBC rounded out the top five with 16 points.
Sabine Godwin notched a second straight America East Preseason All-Conference nod for the 2026 season. In 2025, Sabine led the Catamounts in draw controls (75). She also finished the 2025 season with 16 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Lydia Doraz also received America East Preseason All-Conference honors. In 2025, she led Vermont in goals (43) and points (55). Doraz also finished the 2025 season with 66 draw controls and 24 ground balls.`
