BOSTON - 19 Catamounts were a part of 133 America East student-athletes named Presidential Scholar-Athletes by the conference office. The 19 Catamounts honored are tied for the most by a single institution with New Hampshire.

The Presidential Scholar-Athlete Award program began in the 2013-14 academic year. A total of 1,101 student-athletes have been honored by the league.

The award recognizes graduating student-athletes who compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher as an undergraduate and earned their undergraduate degree in 2024-25. The honorees must have attended their institution for a minimum of two years.
Earlier this month the University of Vermont's student-athletes secured the athletic department's record 11th Walter Harrison Academic Cup, presented each season to the America East institution with the highest cumulative GPA. Vermont earned the 2024-25 honor with a cumulative GPA of 3.54.
