Natalie Schick and
Havana Layton each won two events Saturday and won the 400 Medley Relay together as the Catamounts defeated Rhode Island by a final score of 155.5-145.5 in a dual meet from the Tootell Aquatic Center. With the win Vermont improved its record to 2-2 this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts opened the meet with their win in the 400 Medley Relay, with the combo of Schick, Layton, Ellie Fazio and Jessica Drozdowski taking the event win by 1.38 seconds.
- Schick reset her own record in the 100 Back with a time of 54.68 Saturday afternoon. She bested her mark set at URI on November 22 by .29 seconds.
- She finished the day with a win in the 200 Back with a time of 2:01.87.
- Layton won the 50 Free (23.61) and 100 Free (51.66) for the Catamounts.
- Amy Kenworthy delivered a personal best in the 1000 Free for the Catamounts winning the day with a time of 10:12.28. Her margin of victory was 1.41 seconds. Her personal best was by 7.23 seconds.
- Natalie Schlemmer won the 200 Breast for the Catamounts with a season best time of 2:18.42. It was her second individual win of the campaign.
- The Catamounts closed out the afternoon with a win in the 200 Free Relay. Fazio, Layton, Anastazja Szukala and Zoe Webster finished in a time of 1:35.03, 1.24 seconds faster than
- With today's Win, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to the Ronald McDonald House through the Cat's Win, Community Win's initiative. Vermont Mutual has donated over $6 Million Dollars since launching their Charitable Giving Fund in 2014.
WHO'S NEXT
The Catamounts return to action tomorrow afternoon as they make the short trip over to Storrs to face UConn in a dual meet slated to start at 12 p.m. from the Wolff-Zackin Natatorium. The action will be streamed live on UConn+ ($).
