BURLINGTON, Vt. – Gus Yalden recorded a team-high 27 points on Saturday afternoon as Vermont (17-10, 9-3 AE) defeated Bryant (7-19, 4-8 AE) 90-63 from Patrick Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Gus Yalden scored two baskets, giving Vermont an 8-6 lead at the 16-minute media timeout.
• TJ Hurley made a layup off a pass from Yalden, putting the Catamounts ahead 12-10 with 11:14 left in the first half.
• Hurley completed a dunk and drew a foul. Vermont then went on an 11-1 run to lead 23-12 at the 8-minute media timeout.
• A three-pointer from TJ Long extended Vermont's lead to 32-23 with 3:46 remaining.
• TJ Hurley made a three-pointer, giving Vermont a 39-27 halftime lead. Both Yalden and Hurley led the team with 12 points each at the half.
• Yalden opened the second half with two three-pointers, helping Vermont build a 55-29 lead at the first media timeout.
• Ben Johnson made a corner three-pointer, and Ben Michaels converted a three-point play, extending Vermont's lead to 68-37 with 12 minutes remaining.
