SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Zach Amend scored four goals, including the final two, leading Bryant (3-4, 1-1) in an 11-8 win over Vermont (3-4, 1-1) where they scored the final four goals of the game Saturday night from Beirne Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bryant built an early 3-0 lead behind an opening goal from Amend and two tallies 2:41 apart from Dawson Reilly. Carr also made three stops in the opening moments for the Bulldogs.
- Vermont answered right back with two goals in 200 seconds from Ethan Pearson and Luke Reiter. Bryant held a 3-2 lead after the first quarter.
- Vermont's Max Goldstein spun past two defenders and scored his fifth goal of the season to make it 4-3 for the hosts with 8:56 to play in the first half.
- 1:42 later Luca Elmaleh scored his first of the game to regain the two-goal edge for Bryant.
- Harrison Josloff and Max Frattaroli (EMO) scored 2:15 apart to tie things up at five for the first time since 0-0- with 4:23 to play in the second quarter.
- Elmaleh gave Bryant the lead at halftime with his second goal of the game, a diving effort in front of the crease to make it 6-5 with nine seconds left before the break.
- Vermont scored two goals 1:28 apart early in the third quarter to take its first lead of the game. Josloff found the back of the net again 3:08 into the third and Frattaroli gave UVM the lead with his team-leading 12th goal of the season 4:36 into the third.
- The back-and-forth affair continued as Luke Aasheim scored his first career goal for Bryant to tie things at 7 with 8:43 to play in the third quarter.
- Frattaroli and Josloff combined on the Catamounts go-ahead goal with 1:06 to play in the third quarter. From behind the cage Josloff found Frattaroli with space in front and he one-touched home his third goal of the game to make it 8-7.
- Caden Lennon and Owen West scored two goals for Bryant in the opening 3:36 of the fourth quarter to regain a Bryant edge at 9-8.
- After two key stops from Carr in the fourth quarter Amend completed his hat trick with 6:10 to play to make it 10-8 Bryant.
- Amend closed out the scoring with eight seconds left to make it 11-8.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Vermont's Walter Zhao won 16 of the 23 draws Saturday evening. He has now won 98 draws this season and 64.9% of them. Zhao also led all players Saturday with 10 ground balls.
- Vermont held a 42-30 advantage in shots.
- Bryant defeated Vermont for the first time as league opponents this evening, snapping the Catamounts four-game win streak in the series.
