BURLINGTON, Vt. – TJ Hurley recorded a team-high 29 points on Saturday afternoon as Vermont (21-11, 12-4 AE) defeated Bryant (11-21, 7-9 AE) 77-57 from Patrick Gym in the America East Quarterfinals. This will be the 17
th straight America East Semifinal appearance for Vermont.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bryant scored on their first three possessions of the game to jump out to a 6-2 lead.
- Vermont responded with a dunk from Noah Barnett and a three-pointer from Sean Blake to make it 7-6 going into the first timeout of the game with 15:58 left in the first half.
- Between the first and second timeout, Gus Yalden extended the UVM lead to 12-6 with a bank shot and a three-pointer for his first five points of the game.
- A Sean Blake right-handed layup punctuated a 12-0 run for Vermont before a driving layup and subsequent free throw from Bryant's Keegan Harvey made it 14-9.
- Gus Yalden and Sean Blake extended Vermont's lead with back-to-back baskets before Bryant made four consecutive free throws to make it 18-13
- Vermont then went on a 15-7 run, highlighted by dunks from Momo Nkugwa and Lucas Mari, to make it 33-21 before the final timeout of the first half.
- Vermont scored the next five points before Bryant countered with back-to-back three pointers, and the first half concluded with UVM leading 38-27
- Bryant trimmed their deficit to seven by scoring the first four points of the second half before the Catamounts responded with an 8-0 run punctuated by a TJ Hurley three-pointer of the game to make it 46-31 before the first media timeout.
- Bryant responded with an 8-0 run of their own following the timeout, but Hurley ended the run with his third three-pointer of the game to make it 49-39.
- Bryant went on a 10-4 run to make it 53-49 Vermont with 8:30 remaining in the second half.
- The Catamounts responded with their second 12-0 run of the game to give them a 65-49 lead before Bryant took a timeout with 4:58 left in the game.
- TJ Hurley added eight more points, including two more three-pointers, and UVM secured a 77-57 victory.
