BURLINGTON, Vt. – A career high five first half goals from junior
Karina Sethi helped power Vermont (7-6, 3-1 AE) past Binghamton (5-8, 2-3 AE) 13-8 on Saturday afternoon from Virtue Field during the team's annual Youth Day presented by Healthy Living. With the win, the Catamounts remain undefeated at home in conference play, and secure their third conference win, the most since the 2023 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UVM opened scoring with 12:45 on the clock in the first quarter, seeing Sethi score her 15th goal of the season, unassisted, followed by Jane Trauger finding the back of the net on a free position shot while being a woman-up with 10:15 on the clock. Lydia Doraz fed Sethi for her second goal of the game less than two minutes later as Vermont gained a 3-0 lead at the 8:37 mark of the opening frame.
- Binghamton's Sienna Fox responded with a goal just before a media timeout leaving the score 3-1 in favor of Vermont at 7:12 of the first quarter.
- Vermont came out of the timeout firing on all cylinders, scoring 2 goals, the first by Ali Cabot assisted by Doraz, and tallying a first quarter hattrick was Sethi, being assisted by Ava Wilde on the next Vermont goal with 2:36 remaining in the first frame. Binghamton called a timeout following the Catamount's fifth goal of the game.
- The Bearcats responded with a goal right before the end of the first quarter, Vermont led 5-2 going into the second.
- Vermont and Binghamton traded goals out of the break with Sethi scoring her fourth of the game, assisted by Trauger. Vermont led 6-3 at 11:14 of the second frame.
- The Bearcats scored quickly on a free position coming out of a timeout, but Sethi answered back, tallying her fifth goal of the game to keep Vermont up by three. The Catamounts led 7-4 going into halftime.
- Binghamton made a run coming out of halftime, scoring two unanswered goals by the nine-minute mark. Vermont still led 7-6.
- Caitlin Haggerty ended a quarter long Vermont scoring drought, corralling a pass from Doraz and rifling a shot in the back of the net with 47 seconds remaining until the final frame, putting the Catamounts up 8-6 going into the fourth quarter.
- Trauger opened the scoring in the final quarter with an assist from Wilde, followed by a goal from Cabot assisted by Doraz leading into a timeout on the field. Vermont led 10-6 with 9:34 left in the game.
- Over the next six minutes, Doraz tallied two goals of her own, both unassisted, giving the Catamounts a 12-6 lead with 3:04 left in the game.
- The Bearcats notched two goals within the last 2 minutes, but Vermont's Lindsay Lefebvre sniped a final goal with just six seconds remaining in regulation, assisted by Doraz, earning Vermont the 13-8 victory.

- Cabot tallied two goals against the Bearcats while recording one ground ball and one caused turnover. It's Cabot's second time this season recording a multi-goal game.
- Haggerty and Lefebvre each registered one goal for Vermont on Saturday.
- Kiera Larney notched a career high and game high three caused turnovers while corralling a tied game high five ground balls.
- Emily Cutler secured six draw controls against Binghamton on Saturday, a career high.
- UVM outshot Binghamton on goal 17-15.
- The Catamounts won 12 draw controls to Binghamton's 11.
- Vermont caused 10 turnovers compared to Binghamton's six.
