Burlington, Vt. – Kate Hawley registered the Catamount lone goal as Vermont (0-3-2) tied with Stonehill (0-2-3) 1-1 on the road in Easton, Mass., from Skyhawk Field on Sunday afternoon.

" We were happy to be able to capitalize early with a great connection from Aubrey to Kate, which allowed us to maintain control for a big stretch of the first half. " said Head Coach Kristi Huizenga. " Unfortunately, we are still having some moments in allowing our opponents some easy looks that should not be happening. We are proud of how we responded to the rest of the game and were unlucky to hit the post several times throughout the game. We showed up with great energy and unity which was a priority that we did execute. " 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• In the 4th minute, Emma Warren crossed it to Kate Hawley, whose header was saved by the Stonehill goalkeeper. 

• Minutes later, Aubrey Bough fired a shot from outside the box, saved by a diving effort. On the ensuing corner, Bough delivered the ball, and Kate Hawley headed it in, giving Vermont a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute. 

• In the 22nd minute, Hawley's shot from the right edge of the box struck the crossbar. 

• Sophia Kling comfortably saved a Stonehill free kick from just outside the left side of the box. 

• Stonehill equalized in the 39th minute with a shot from outside the box, tying the game at 1-1. 

• At the half, Vermont was tied with Stonehill 1-1.  

• Kling made a save in the 54th minute on a shot from outside the box. 

• In the 60th minute, Madeline Gardner broke away and fired a shot off the left post, but Stonehill cleared the rebound. 

• Minutes later, Kling saved a shot on a Stonehill counterattack. 

• Stonehill's goalkeeper made a save on a Vermont corner in the 81st minute. 

• A minute later, Della Weir went one-on-one with the goalkeeper, moved past her, but her shot went just right off the goal. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 

• Sophia Kling notched four saves.  

• Kate Hawley scored the first goal in her Catamount career.  

• Aubrey Bough recorded one assist, marking her second of the season. 

• Kate Hawley led the team with two shots on goal. 

• Sophia Kling was the only Catamount to play for the full 90 minutes.
