Burlington, Vt. – Eleni Stowell registered the Catamount lone goal as Vermont (0-4-2) fell to Boston College (5-0-0) 5-1 at home in Burlington, Vt. from Virtue Field on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• In the 2nd minute, Boston College capitalized on a counterattack, entered the box, and scored to take an early 1-0 lead. 

• In the 7th minute, Farrah Yaacoub took a powerful shot from outside the box. The Boston College goalkeeper deflected the ball but secured the rebound. 

• Boston College extended their lead to 2-0 in the 12th minute with a low cross inside the box. 

• Minutes later, Boston College struck the crossbar and converted the rebound, increasing their lead to 3-0. 

• In the 26th minute, Eleni Stowell scored from a free kick, bending the ball left of the wall to give Vermont their first goal. The Catamounts trailed 3-1. 

• The Catamounts created a strong opportunity from a corner kick, with Madeline Gardner redirecting the ball off her heel, but Boston College made the save. 

• At halftime, the score remained 3-1.  

• In the 55th minute, Farrah Yaacoub took a shot from just outside the box following a corner kick, but the attempt went just over the crossbar. 

• In the 60th minute, Sophia Kling made a save on a Boston College breakaway. 

• A minute later, Boston College scored their fourth goal, extending the lead to 4-1. 

• In the 65th minute, Boston College added a fifth goal. 

• Kling made consecutive saves in the 80th minute.
