COACH'S QUOTE
"Congratulations to our guys on a hard-earned win today," said Head Coach Adrian Dubois. "It wasn't our best first half of the season, but I was proud of our response after halftime. We handled the adversity together, found a way to score two excellent goals, and earned another clean sheet against a Holy Cross team that made things difficult."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Vermont struck first early in the match when Patrick Aguilar sent a cross to the box from the short side of the field, finding Noel Bjork who touched it down and blasted a shot past the Holy Cross goalkeeper, securing his first goal as a Catamount, earning UVM the 1-0 lead in the seventh minute of action.
  • The Catamounts doubled their lead in the 69th minute, seeing Bjork receive a pass and touch it forward to Luis Fischer. After corralling the pass from Bjork, Fischer sent a cross from the short side of the field to the box where Pieter Bultman was there to soar through the air and use a header to put the ball into the left corner of the net, scoring his second goal in just as many matches to put UVM ahead 2-0.
  • Vermont was able to maintain possession for the majority of the final 20 minutes of play, ultimately walking away with a 2-0 shutout victory over Holy Cross, successfully defending Virtue Field during a four-match homestand.
