Ben Platt joined the Catamounts in 2026 as Video Coordinator after spending the previous season as a graduate assistant at USC and four years with Vermont Men’s Basketball as a student manager.
At USC, Platt worked extensively with the coaching staff on opponent scouting, analytics, and game preparation while earning a master’s degree in Digital Media Management. His primary responsibilities included breaking down opposing offenses, identifying tendencies and actions, and helping develop practice plans and scout team drills to prepare the Trojans for competition. Platt also served as a member of the scout team, providing game-like looks during practices and assisting with player development workouts. During his season with the Trojans, USC captured the prestigious Maui Invitational championship.
In addition to his scouting responsibilities, Platt contributed to recruiting operations by creating personalized recruiting graphics, conducting prospect evaluations, coordinating campus visits and photoshoots, and assisting with transfer portal evaluations. He also supported team travel logistics, meal planning, and day-to-day basketball operations.
Prior to USC, Platt spent four seasons with Vermont Men’s Basketball from 2021-25, including his final two years as Head Student Manager. In that role, he supervised the program’s student managers, coordinated practice operations, managed attendance and travel logistics, and assisted with video, scouting, and player development. During his tenure, Vermont won three consecutive America East regular-season championships and three conference tournament titles. Platt was selected to the Grow The Game Manager All-America Team, recognizing him as one of the top five student managers in Division I college basketball.
A 2025 graduate of the University of Vermont, Platt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Sports Management. He later earned his master's degree in Digital Media Management from the University of Southern California.
