* In the 2024-25 season, Broom averaged 5.9 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1,7 spg, and shot 44.6% from 3PT
* Attended Jacksonville High School in Alabama where he was a two-time state champion, a 4A Player of the Year, and recorded 1,900 points

PERSONAL:
* Son of Tracy and John Broom
* His sister Kayla played volleyball at Georgia State, his mother Tracy played basketball at Jacksonville State, and his father John played baseball at Alabama State.
* Chose UVM because of , “the culture of the program and I wanted to be coached by Coach Becker”
*Broom chose number 5 because, “my sister wore it growing up”
* His biggest influence as an athlete is his family
* Favorite Movie is Monsters University
* Favorite artist is Boston Richey
* Favorite sports team is the Atlanta Hawks
* Something people may not know about John is that he can play pickle ball
