2013-14 SEASON: Saw action in all 33 games ... Earned his first career start on "Senior Night" versus Stony Brook ... Had a knack for sparking Vermont on the defensive end of the floor ... Scored a season-high five pionts in a victory over Hartford and in the first round NIT game at Georgia ... Handed out a career-high five assists in the regular season finale at Binghamton ... Finished his career ranked 10th among the all-time games played leaders at Vermont (125).
SUMMER 2013: Spent July in Israel competing for the United States in the 19th Maccabiah Games, the world's biggest Jewish sporting event ... Helped Team USA win a gold medal in men's basketball.
2012-13 SEASON: Saw action in 32 of 33 games off the bench … Scored a season-high six points against Hartford (3/3/13) … Handed out four assists at UMBC (2/9/13) and grabbed four rebounds versus UMBC (3/10/13) in the America East Semifinals … Averaged 14 minutes per game.
2011-12 SEASON: Played in all 36 games as a sophomore … Finished third on the team in both steals (31) and assists (55) as a back up point guard … Averaged 12.8 minutes per game … Scored a career-high 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the floor against Quinnipiac … Grabbed a career-high five rebounds in a win at Hartford and handed out a personal-best five assists in a victory at home against Stony Brook.
2010-11 SEASON: Saw action in 24 games as a freshman … Scored two points in wins over Albany and UMBC, as well as in a loss at Fairfield … Grabbed two rebounds in a win at Hartford.
BEFORE VERMONT: Elbaum comes to Vermont after playing for St. John the Baptist High School … While at St. John the Baptist he was named MVP of the Long Island Catholic League, was all-league three times and was named All-Long Island by Newsday … A two-year year captain, he also helped his team go 25-3 and win a league championship as a senior … Elbaum then prepped at Northfield Mount Hermon in Northfield, Mass. where he helped NMH tie a school record with 23 wins and advance to the Prep School National Championship Game ... Named to the Jewish Sports Review 2009-10 Boy's High School All-America Basketball Team.
