| NCAA Players at NHL Camps BURLINGTON, Vt. - Six current and former players from the University of Vermont men's hockey program are skating at National Hockey League Development Camps this July. Each NHL team holds an annual summer development camp for draft picks, prospects under contract, and invitees.
The list of current players attending camps includes forward
Colin Markison (Edmonton Oilers), defensemen
Nick Luukko (Philadelphia Flyers) and
Michael Paliotta (Chicago Blackhawks), and goaltender
Brody Hoffman (Chicago Blackhawks). Luukko and Paliotta are NHL draft picks, while Markison and Hoffman received invites.
The two former Catamounts on camp rosters are
Connor Brickley (Florida Panthers) and
Chris McCarthy (New York Rangers), who skated for their clubs' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliates in San Antonio and Hartford last season.
