FINAL SCORE: Northeastern 175, Vermont 117 | Results
BOSTON – Vermont women's swimming and diving fell at Northeastern in dual meet action Saturday afternoon by a score of 175-117. UVM falls to 7-2 on the season, while Northeastern moves to 5-3.

The Catamounts took the top five spots in the 100 back, led by
Jess Gorham (1:01.77),
Elena Melloni (1:01.89) and
Estee Dilli (1:05.14). Vermont also scored big points in the 200 IM, claiming the top three spots in the event.
Alexy Novelli swam to a first-place finish (2:18.18), while
Lauren Punger (2:20.21) and Dilli (2:21.88) took second and third place, respectively.

Rookie distance swimmer
Kelly Lennon registered a first-place showing in the 1000 free event, clocking in at 10:37.68 for the top time. Lennon also took third place in the 500 free in 5:14.44.
In the final event of meet, the 200 free relay, Vermont's 'A' relay squad earned a first-place showing with a time of 1:39.15.

Freshman
Shannon Cowley earned second-place finishes in both breaststroke events, posting a time of 1:05.73 in the 100 breast and clocking in at 2:29.96 in the 200.

The reigning conference swimmer of the week,
Andie Blaser, placed second in the 100 fly with a time of 59.46. Senior
Ilsa Feierabend also notched a second-place showing, earning runner-up in the 200 back in 2:07.29.

The Catamounts return to competition next weekend for Senior Day at Forbush Natatorium. Vermont will host Rhode Island on Saturday (Jan. 24) at 12 p.m., and will honor seniors
