Catamounts Host Boston University in Men’s Lacrosse Action Saturday

VERMONT MEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts are back in Burlington for their second home game of the season on Saturday (Feb. 28) as they to take on Boston University at 1:30 p.m. Live video of the contest will be streamed for free in HD via CatamounTV.com.
 
TICKETS
Tickets are available at UVMathletics.com/tickets or in person one hour prior to the game at the Gutterson Fieldhouse ticket office. Admission is free for all UVM students with a school ID.
 
PROMOTIONS
Saturday is Poster Day and post-game autographs presented by the UPS Store Downtown. Fans will get the chance to receive a team poster and get autographs from UVM players following the game. It's also Cat Pride Club Appreciation Day and Non-Profit Appreciation Day. All non-profit employees can be placed on the complimentary ticket list by emailing Rallycat@uvm.edu.
 
ABOUT VERMONT
The Catamounts nearly came back from a five-goal deficit in the second half at Providence last time out, but eventually fell to the Friars by a final of 12-9. Sophomore transfer Cam Milligan was the leading scorer in the contest with six points on four goals and a pair of assists, while junior James Barlow (3 g) and rookie Matt Gudas (1 g, 1 ast) each registered multi-point efforts. The two points for Gudas were the first of his career in his third start with the Catamounts. Goalie Justin Rosenberg collected his second straight double-digit save performance with 11 stops in the tilt.

BARLOW'S HOT STREAK
James Barlow registered his third straight game with three or more goals against Providence this past Saturday, and now tops the squad in both points and goals. The Glastonbury, Connecticut native has already surpassed his career-high in scores for a season, which he set last year. Barlow notched a career-high in the team's second game of the season against Colgate with four tallies in the tilt.

SCOUTING BOSTON UNIVERSITY
The Terriers enter just their second year as a program after finishing 2-12 in their inaugural season in 2014. They've already matched their win total from a year ago with a 2-2 record to this point in the season. BU opened the campaign with wins over Mercer (18-6) and Canisius (13-9) before dropping its next two matchups at Lehigh (10-9) and at Providence (7-4).

CATAMOUNTS WELCOME BACK KELLEHER
Vermont will welcome back one of its own as Boston University Assistant Coach and former Catamount Drew Kelleher '09 returns to Virtue Field on Saturday. Kelleher was a four-year standout with UVM and won America East Fans' Choice Player of the Year as well as team MVP honors in his senior season. Kelleher ranked 11th in the nation in goals per game (2.50) during his final year at Vermont.
 
LAST SEASON'S MATCHUP
The Catamounts defeated the Terriers 13-9 last season in the first-ever matchup between the two programs. Ian MacKay topped all scorers with seven points on four goals and three assists, and Nick Bartlett (2 g) and Andrew Buckanavage (1 g, 1 ast) chipped in with two points apiece. Justin Rosenberg stopped 14 shots to earn the win in net.
