Pair of UVM Men's Hoop Games Tabbed as ESPN3 America East Wildcard Selections

CAMBRDIGE, Mass. – The America East Conference announced its wildcard selections to be carried on ESPN3 on Thursday. The Vermont men's basketball team will be featured in the two men's matchups.

UVM's game versus New Hampshire on February 25 at Patrick Gymnasium will now be broadcast on ESPN3. Additionally, the regular season finale at Albany on February 28 will also be carried on ESPN3. The tipoff time for the game at SEFCU Arena was originally scheduled for 7 p.m., however because of the ESPN3 broadcast the game time has been moved to 2 p.m. in Albany.

AMERICA EAST WILDCARD GAME SELECTIONS FOR ESPN3
Feb. 25 - New Hampshire vs. Vermont (Patrick Gymnasium), 7 p.m.
Feb. 28 - Vermont at Albany (SEFCU Arena), 2 p.m. (NOTE: new tipoff time)

Vermont suffered its first league loss at New Hampshire earlier this year, with a 73-68 setback on January 22 at Lundholm Gymnasium. The Catamounts also fell to the Great Danes on January 28 on a buzzer beater, 47-44, in UVM's only home conference loss of the year.

Vermont travels to Stony Brook this weekend. The Catamounts, currently in second place in the America East standings, return to the arena where they won the 2012 America East Championship in head coach John Becker's first season at the helm.

The game at Island Federal Credit Union Arena tips off at 7 p.m. It can be seen on ESPN3.com and heard on ESPN 101.3 FM (online: 1013ESPN.com) with A.J. Kanell calling the action.
