COACH'S QUOTE
"It was great to have a game like that tonight where everything was clicking, especially in the second half. In the first half we were a little sluggish and missed a bunch of defensive assignments. I challenged the guys at halftime, and they really responded in the second half. I thought that was the best half Ben Michaels has played, and Noah continues to play great. Lucas Mari was special tonight as he almost had a triple double."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • TJ Hurley led the way early, scoring eight points of Vermont's ten points to the 16-minute media timeout. Vermont led Plattsburgh State 10-7.
  • At the 12-minute media timeout, UVM maintained a 14-12 lead after a TJ Long three-pointer.
  • Momentum shifted at the 6:53 mark as the Catamounts went on a 13-4 run, sparked by a Lucas Mari three and another TJ Hurley three. Vermont led 27-16.
  • Shortly after, a Sean Blake floater and a Momo Nkugwa layup maintained a 31-23 Vermont lead at the 4-minute media timeout.
  • To cap the half, Sean Blake threw down a slam dunk as Vermont led 44-31.
  • Building on their first-half success, Vermont went on a 15-0 run to start the second half, thanks to a TJ Long corner three and a Lucas Mari steal that led to a TJ Long layup in transition. The Catamounts had a 59-31 lead at the 16-minute media timeout.
  • At the 11:00 mark, UVM maintained a sizeable 75-39 lead. Lucas Mari and Ben Johnson both connected for threes, and David Simon threw down a fantastic dunk.
