BURLINGTON, Vt. - Ten years ago on this date, March 18, 2005, the University of Vermont men's basketball team, the No. 13 seed, stunned No. 4-seeded Syracuse with a
60-57 overtime victory in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was the first NCAA victory in program history and the entire state rallied around the Catamounts.
