BURLINGTON, Vt. - Although the basketball season is winding down with the NBA Finals beginning this week, some former Vermont Catamounts are still playing overseas. Marqus Blakely '10 and Brian Voelkel '14 are in the midst of their seasons playing in the Philippines and Australia, respectively. Here's an update on how they and the other Catamounts playing professionally are doing.

Joey Accaoui '11 – Tadamon Zouk (Lebanon-Division A)
Tadamon went 8-12 in the division and lost in the quarterfinals of the Lebanese Basketball Championship Playoffs … Accaoui played in 18 games, averaged 31.8 minutes per game … He shot 56.3 percent from the field, 40.3 percent from 3-point range, making 40 3-pointers … He finished the year averaging 11.5 points, 2.9 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
 
Marqus Blakely '10 – Purefoods Star (Philippines Basketball Association)
Purefood's season is currently on going, the team stands at 2-4 … Blakely has played in nine games, averaging 38.3 minutes per game. … He is averaging 23.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 3.8 assists and 2.7 steals per game.
 
Sandro Carissimo '14 - Oviedo (Spain LEB Gold)
Carissimo joined Ovideo in January … The team went 11-17 on the year and played in the same league at Taylor Coppenrath's Ford Burgos team … Carissimo saw action in 10 games and averaged 11.4 minutes per game.
 
Taylor Coppenrath '05 – Ford Burgos (Spain LEB Gold)
Coppenrath, the team MVP, won his fifth straight title with Ford Burgos this season … It was his sixth championship in eight years during his overseas career … The team posted a 22-6 record … He played in 28 games, averaging 22.9 minutes per game … He finished the year shooting 56.3 percent from the field and averaged 11.6 point, 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game.
 
Chris Holm '07 – Shiga Lakestars (Japan BJ League)
Holm led the Shiga Lakestars to the Final Four of the Basketball Japan League Playoffs … The team finished third overall and with a 34-18 mark … He ranked eighth overall in the league in rebounding … Holm played in 52 games, averaging 23 minutes per game … He grabbed 9.5 rebounds and chipped in 7.4 points per game while shooting 58.1 percent from the floor.
 
Clancy Rugg '14 – Musel Pikes (Luxembourg Total League)
Rugg played in 28 games, averaging 35.5 minutes per game for the Musel Pikes … The team posted a record of 12-16, finishing sixth in the league standings … Rugg averaged 18.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 53.7 percent from the floor, 32.7 percent from 3-point range and 82.6 percent from the foul line.
 
Brian Voelkel '14 – South West Slammers (State Basketball League Australia)
Voelkel is currently in season with the South West Slammers … He has played in 16 games and is averaging 38 minutes per game … He is averaging 14.1 points, 18.3 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game in his first season … Voelkel already has two triple-doubles on the year … On May 16 he scored 30 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and handed out seven assists … Most recently, May 31, he scored 22 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, handed out six assists and collected five steals.
