UVM FIELD HOCKEY NOTEBOOKThe University of Vermont field hockey team heads out of town for a pair of road games this weekend. The Catamounts are set for an 11 a.m. matchup in Rhode Island against the Bryant Bulldogs on Friday, Sept. 25 then travel to Hamden, Connecticut to take on Quinnipiac on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 12 p.m.

SCOUTING BRYANTThe Bryant Bulldogs hold a 1-7 record for their 2015 campaign. In its most recent contest last Sunday (Sept. 20), Bryant was downed by Dartmouth 3-2. The Bulldogs opened their season with matchups against America East schools Pacific, UC Davis and Stanford going 0-3.

Freshman Marissa Elizardo is starting in the cage for the Bulldogs owning a .667 save percentage and has collected 32 saves. Victoria Danby, a junior out of Lancaster, Massachusetts tops the squad with 20 points on nine goals and a pair of assists. Danby has netted nine of Bryant's 16 goals.

THE SERIESThis contest marks the first meeting between the Vermont Catamounts and Bryant Bulldogs.

SCOUTING QUINNIPIACThe Quinnipiac Bobcats have posted a 2-6 record with wins against Yale (Sept. 6) and Holy Cross (Sept. 22) in their latest matchup. Quinnipiac is 0-2 versus America East opponents Maine and UMass Lowell.

Megan Conaboy is the starting Bobcat in goal. Conaboy has made 51 stops this season for a .718 save percentage in 490 minutes in the net. Michelle Federico and Savanna Reilly each own a pair of Quinnipiac's nine goals. Federico leads the squad with two goals and four assists for eight points.

THE SERIESQuinnipiac has an undefeated 4-0 record in the series against UVM. The last meeting took place in Burlington last season (Sept. 21, 2014) and concluded in a 3-2 loss for Vermont.
