BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont men's lacrosse coach
Mike Kruger has been chosen to speak at the annual Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coach's Association Convention in Baltimore, Maryland on Dec. 10-13.
Kruger begins his third season with UVM as the defensive coordinator in 2016. Prior to Vermont, Kruger spent two seasons as the head coach of the men's lacrosse program at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. He led the Hornets to five wins in 2013, matching the win total of the previous three seasons combined.
The IMLCA was created to help promote the game of lacrosse, become a principal organization providing coaches development and monitor the integrity of the game. Its membership includes individual collegiate coaches, as well as relationships with high school boy's lacrosse coaches and the collegiate club lacrosse coaches to benefit from the initiatives of the IMLCA.
The scheduled list of events includes meetings with collegiate coaching staffs, educational presentations, an awards luncheon and the inaugural IMLCA Hall of Fame celebration.
Other keynote speakers include John Tillman from the University of Maryland, Ryan Wellner of Navy, Kevin Corrigan of Notre Dame, Nick Meyers of Ohio State, and 2015 NCAA National Champion Head Coach Bill Tierney of Denver.
