Kate Pfeifer returns home as a Michigan alum. She was a member of the 2000-2004 U-M field hockey squads, contributing to the 2001 NCAA championship, four Big Ten titles and two Big Ten Tournament titles. UVM owns a record of 1-2 heading into its weekend in Ann Arbor.
SCOUTING MICHIGANThe No. 16 Michigan Wolverines meet UVM holding a 2-2 record with wins against Providence and Fairfield. Junior Courtney Enge is the Wolverines' early scoring leader after posting the game-winning tally in both of Michigan's weekend road wins. Sophomore goalkeeper Sam Swenson has not allowed a goal in her last 173:45 played, stretching back to the first half against Wake Forest on Aug. 30.

Michigan has allowed 35 total shots through the opening two weekends. They allow an average of just 8.75 shots per game and 20 total shots on goal for opponents. The Wolverines lead the all-time series against the Catamounts 2-0 with their last meeting in 2007, a 5-0 Michigan win.

SCOUTING DAVIDSONDavidson holds a record of 1-2 before its match against UVM on Sept. 12. The squad owns a victory against Georgetown (1-0) and losses to Lehigh (3-1) and Missouri State (2-0). Melissa Funsten leads the team with two goals on nine shots. Goalkeeper Emily Leytham has allowed five goals on the season and boasts a .688 save percentage on 29 total shots faced.

UVM has the edge in the all-time series vs. Davidson with a 2-1 record. The last meeting between the two teams came last season as the Catamounts pulled out a 2-1 overtime victory at home.

WHO'S NEXTVermont returns to Moulton Winder Field shortly after for a home match against Holy Cross on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m. Next weekend, UVM will host the Catamount Classic at Moulton Winder Field. Vermont will face Cornell in an 11 a.m. match on Saturday (Sept. 16) and Siena at noon (12 p.m.) on Sunday (Sept. 20).
