The draw puts the Catamounts at 3-5-2 on the season and 2-2-1 in Hockey East play. Providence moves to 6-7-1 and 3-3-1 in league contests.
"I'm very proud of the way we battled today," said head coach
Jim Plumer. "Honestly we played well for the majority of both games this weekend. Hockey East is a real battleground this season and I expect every weekend to be a battle just like this one was."
Providence grabbed a 1-0 lead in the final stages of the first period when Brooke Boquist picked up a bouncing puck across the goalmouth and tapped it past the extended left pad of
Madison Litchfield.
The equalizer for the Catamounts came at the 4:23 mark of the second.

Vermont had opportunities in the extra session to net the game-winner, tallying five shots, but Myers stopped each attempt.
UVM went a perfect 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.
The Catamounts now return to Burlington to embark on a four-game homestand, beginning with a Friday, Nov. 18 duel against Northeastern. Opening draw will be at 2 p.m.
