SENIOR NIGHTPrior to Saturday night's game, Vermont will honor the four members of its senior class:
Yvan Pattyn,
Alexx Privitera,
Dan Senkbeil, and
Jonathan Turk. This year's senior class has skated in nearly 400 career games at UVM with over 110 points. Pattyn and Turk have skated in a combined 277 games in their four-year careers, while Privitera (Boston University) and Senkbeil (North Dakota) transferred to Vermont for their final two seasons. The four student-athletes have helped lead the program to its first back-to-back 20-win seasons in nearly two decades.
Yvan PattynPattyn is the captain of this year's squad and has already posted career-highs in both assists and points, including a career-best three-assist game vs. UNH. The durable defenseman has missed just four games in his entire career and ranks 18th all-time in program history with 142 games played.
Alexx PriviteraPrivitera ranks fourth overall on the team in scoring, leading all defensemen this season with 15 points, and sits just one assist shy of 50 for his career. He sits top-10 in Hockey East in shot blocking and was the league's fourth-leading shot blocker last season as a junior with a team-high 78 blocks.

Dan Senkbeil A member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team, Senkbeil is a high-energy forward who has tallied three goals in 17 contests during his senior season. Two of his three tallies this year are third period game-winning goals in Hockey East play against Northeastern and UConn.
Jonathan TurkTurk has scored four times this year, including the game-winning goal on a shorthanded breakaway against Lake Superior State in the Catamount Cup. Last season, the two-way center scored the game-winner in overtime to beat Maine in Game 3 of the Hockey East First Round at Gutterson.

SETTING THE SCENEThe Catamounts earned three road points last weekend at UNH, while the Eagles took three points in a home-and-home series with Merrimack. UVM enters the weekend in sole possession of seventh place in the league standings with 15 points through 18 Hockey East games. Boston College has suffered just one loss in league play this season and trails Notre Dame by one point for the No. 1 overall seed. Vermont took three of the five meetings with BC last season, all on the road, and beat the third-seeded Eagles in the Hockey East Quarterfinal at Conte Forum in three games.
SCOUTING THE EAGLESBoston College is riding a 12-game unbeaten streak (8-0-4) and hasn't lost since Dec. 29 against Providence 2-1 in the Florida College Classic. Rookie Colin White leads the Eagles in scoring with 17 goals and 36 points, while sophomore Zach Sanford has tallied a team-best 21 assists on the year. Junior Thatcher Demko ranks top-10 nationally in both goals against average (1.80) and save percentage (.935) while leading the country with nine shutouts. Jerry York, who is in his 22nd year as the head coach at Boston College and 44th as a Division I head coach, became the first coach in NCAA history to reach 1,000 career wins on Jan. 22 in an 8-0 road win at UMass Amherst.
SERIES HISTORYFriday marks the 58th meeting in the all-time series between Vermont and Boston College in a series which dates back to 1976. Vermont posted its first two playoff wins over BC in March during the Hockey East Quarterfinal to advance to TD Garden for the first time since 2010. The Catamounts snapped a five-game losing streak and an 11-game winless streak against the Eagles with a 3-2 overtime road win on Feb. 13 of last season. It was their first win over Boston College since a 5-3 triumph at Gutterson Fieldhouse on Nov. 13, 2010 and their first at Conte Forum since Nov. 15, 2009.
WATCH OUT EAGLESBrady Shaw scored six goals in five meetings against Boston College last year. He notched three tallies during a weekend series at the 10th-ranked Eagles in February, including two goals and a season-best eight shots in the second game. Shaw added three goals and an assist at No. 9 Boston College in the Hockey East Quarterfinal, which included a three-point night in a Game 2 victory. The junior skated in his 100th career game last Saturday at UNH.
O'NEIL GRABS FIRST GAME-WINNERRookie
Conor O'Neil's go-ahead goal with 26 seconds remaining in the second period stood up for his first career game-winner as UVM took game one of the series 3-2 last Friday at the Whittemore Center.
Liam Coughlin and
Alexx Privitera netted power play goals in a three-goal second period, while
Jarrid Privitera notched a pair of assists. UNH scored on two of its first three power play chances through Tyler Kelleher and Michael McNicholas, but UVM killed off the final three. Vermont out-shot New Hampshire 35-27, and freshman
Packy Munson stopped 25 shots in net for his eighth win of the year.
WILDCATS RALLY FOR LEAGUE POINTThe league rivals skated to a hard-fought 2-2 tie on Saturday night as the Catamounts took three of four Hockey East points from UNH. Vermont extended its unbeaten streak to four (3-0-1) in Durham, the longest in series history, and moved to 5-1-0 in the last six meetings. Defensemen
Mitch Ferguson and
Chris Muscoby each netted his second goal of the year to give UVM a 2-0 lead midway through the game. UNH held a slim 31-30 edge in shots as the Catamounts posted at least 30 shots on goal for the 20th time in their last 24 contests.
