WRIGHT PLACE, WRIGHT TIMECandice Wright has been a force in the post for Vermont during her first season at UVM. Wright has reached double-figure scoring five times, including the last two conference matchups.

On Thursday versus New Hampshire, the rookie paced all Catamounts in points scoring as she set a new career-high with 21 points and went 7-for-8 from the field. In the last two games, Wright has combined to go 14-for-17 from the foul line.

DAILY DOUBLERookie guard
Hayley Robertson has reached double-figure scoring six times this season, while seeing 14 starts in 28 games. Robertson has started the last five games at guard and has averaged 40 minutes on the floor. During that span, the freshman from Toronto is averaging 10.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.

Robertson recorded her first ever double-double against UMass Lowell (Feb. 8) as she piled up 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, both career-highs. She is also averaging 2.3 assists per game, tallying at least three helpers in each of Vermont's last six games.

LAST TIME OUT The Catamounts held New Hampshire scoreless for the final 5:46 of the fourth quarter, as Vermont closed the game on a 12-0 run to capture back-to-back wins against the Wildcats 63-59 on Thursday night at Lundholm Gym. UVM ended a seven-game skid and improved to 8-20 (2-13), while New Hampshire fell to 11-17 (5-10) heading into the regular season finale for both teams this weekend.

With the Catamounts down a point late, Wright drew a key blocking foul and connected on a pair from the charity stripe with a minute remaining for a 60-59 advantage, UVM's first lead of the night. Three more points by
Sydney Smith in the final 30 seconds secured the win in Vermont's final road game of the regular season, and second of the year over New Hampshire.

Wright posted a new career-high with 21 points and pulled down seven rebounds for Vermont. Wright also was 7-for-8 from the field and 7-of-9 at the foul line in the best performance of her rookie season. Smith tallied 15 second-half points, piling up 19 total on the night, and added four rebounds and a steal.
Hayley Robertson recorded nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Catamounts.

UVM trailed in the third quarter by as many as 14, but found itself within single-digits (45-39) on six straight points by Wright. Elizabeth Belanger and Ashley Storey went on a 7-2 run of their own, but Smith answered back on a buzzer-beating three-ball from the top of the arc to keep the Cats within six (52-46) as the teams headed into the final quarter.

Smith drove down the left side of the lane to put Vermont within a single-possession (59-57) at the 3:17 mark, while the Catamounts held UNH scoreless for nearly six minutes at the other end. Wright's foul shots then put Vermont up for good.Â

SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVESStony Brook comes to Burlington with a 16-12 (8-7) record before its regular season finale at Patrick Gym, following four straight conference losses. The Seawolves are even at 3-3 in league road games.

Freshman Ogechu Anyagaligbo has been tabbed America East Rookie of the Week eight times this season. The forward from Miami, Florida is averaging 10.1 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game, leading the conference in rebounds.

As a team, the Seawolves score the third-most points in America East per game (59.5), led by senior Brittany Snow (14.8 ppg). Snow is shooting almost 49-percent from the field and sits seventh overall in the conference rankings, while also scoring the 11th-most points (1,266) in program history.

SERIES HISTORYVermont leads the all-time series, 16-14, but the Seawolves have won six of the last seven, including a 73-59 victory earlier in the season on Long Island. Brittany Snow finished with 24 points and eight rebounds in the first meeting.
