VERMONT MEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts (7-7, 3-3 America East) host Binghamton in the regular season finale on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Virtue Field. The game will be the second half of a lacrosse doubleheader, as the UVM women's team will host the Bearcats at 3 p.m. Between games fans can enjoy a Fan Appreciation Day.

FAN APPRECIATION DAY
The University of Vermont Athletic Department will be hosting a Fan Appreciation Day, rain or shine, on Saturday (April 30) from 6-7 p.m. at Virtue Field.
Fans can enjoy free food and beverages including Leonardo's Pizza. In addition, fans will have access to a bouncy castle provided by Suncommon, music, lawn games, face painting and more! There will also be the opportunity to enter multiple raffles for signed Vermont athletic items and gift cards. And of course, Rally Catamount will be there!

RALLY AGAINST CANCER
Saturday is the final Rally Against Cancer event of the season presented by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. The Catamounts will be wearing special pink arm bands and socks to show support for the work being done at the University of Vermont Cancer Center. There will be a table with representatives from the UVM Cancer Center as well as Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets with more information on the Rally Against Cancer games and donations can be made.

KAPLAN NAMED AMERICA EAST DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
On Monday, juniorÂ
Jon Kaplan was named the America East Defender of the Week for the third time this season.

Kaplan was impressive in net for the Catamounts, making 14 stops in a 13-4 victory over Hartford. He anchored the Vermont defense that held the Hawks scoreless until the 8:16 mark of the third quarter.

Kaplan ranks 21st in the country in saves per game, averaging 10.5 stops per contest.

MILLIGAN NAMED TD BANK STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Junior
Cam Milligan was named the TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday. He scored a hat trick in UVM's victory over Hartford on Saturday.

STREAKING
Ian MacKay owns the sixth longest points streak in Division I lacrosse. He has registered at least one point in 43 games. The streak dates back to Feb. 22, 2014. During the streak, MacKay has totaled 106 goals and 54 assists for 160 points.

Ian MacKay is up for the America East Fans' Choice Player of the Year honor. MacKay leads UVM in scoring with 59 points and 37 goals. He leads the country in man-up goals (10) and ranks 13th in points per game (4.21) and goals per game (2.64).

CATS IN THE NATIONAL STATS
The Catamount offense ranks 14th nationally, producing 11.93 goals per game. UVM also ranks seventh in assists per game with 7.93 helpers per contest.

SALUTE TO THE SENIORS
Saturday marks Senior Day, the 2016 senior class will be honored prior to the announcement of the starting lineups. The seven seniors in this year's class have combined to play nearly 300 games over the past four years. As a class they have won 22 games, including seven this season, the most during head coach
Ryan Curtis' tenure at UVM.

SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats stand at 4-9 overall and are 2-3 in league play. Binghamton has lost three in a row and dropped a 16-11 decision to Stony Brook in its last outing on Sunday.

Zach Scaduto leads the team in goals (25) and points (37), while Johnny Maher is the team leader in assists (14) and ground balls (22).

Tanner Cosens is the team's top goalkeeper. He carries a 12.14 goals against average into Saturday's game and owns a .444 save percentage.

THE SERIES
Binghamton leads the all-time series 8-6. Vermont has won three of the last four, including a 14-13 win in Vestal, New York last season. In the 2015 regular season finale,
Ian MacKay scored with 10 second remaining in regulation to break a 13-13 tie and lift UVM to the victory.

AMERICA EAST PLAYOFFS
The America East Playoffs begin on Thursday, May 5 with the semifinal round and the championship game is scheduled for Saturday, May 7.
