HANOVER, N.H. – Senior
Anne-Marie Farmer recorded her first goal of the season, but an early sequence of Pacific goals proved too much for the Vermont field hockey team, as UVM fell to the Tigers 8-2 on Tuesday at Chase Field.

Pacific improves to 3-3 on the season, while the Catamounts drop to 4-2 following the non-conference, neutral-site game.

After Rylee Comeau put Pacific ahead on a 2-on-1 rush in the first minute, Farmer quickly evened the score at one-apiece in the third minute.
Lauren Tucker received a penalty corner from
Rachael Picchi, then fed the ball towards the cage. Farmer redirected the ball in traffic, sending it home for the Catamounts.

The Tigers regained the lead in the ninth minute and never looked back after a stretch of goals that included a pair from sophomore Savannah Burns.

UVM added a goal in the second half from
Tess O'Brien. The tally in the 58th minute, O'Brien's second of the season, came on a play that saw the ball slowly roll through the legs of the Tigers' goalkeeper.

The Catamounts now prepare to make their second trip of the week to New Hampshire, facing Dartmouth on Friday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m.
