WOMEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
In what has been a tightly contested series over the past two seasons, the Catamounts (2-5-0, 1-3-0 HEA) travel to North Andover, Massachusetts for a two-game series against Merrimack (3-4-2, 1-1-1 HEA) at Lawler Rink. The games are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday Oct. 27 and 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 28. NEW HAMPSHIRE RECAP | CatamounTV Highlights
New Hampshire scored with 12 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 4-4, and Devan Taylor scored her second goal of the night for the Wildcats with 18 seconds remaining in overtime to seal the 5-4 UNH victory on Oct. 20. Junior goalie

SCOUTING MERRIMACK
In its third season as a Division I program, Merrimack has faced two top-five teams, splitting a two-game series with No. 3 Minnesota early in the season and grabbing a 0-0 tie with No. 4 St. Lawrence two weekends ago. Katelyn Rae leads Merrimack with four goals and five points. She is followed by Jessica Bonfe and Paige Voight at four points each. Goalies Lee-Kristine Demers and Samantha Ridgewell have split time this season, combining for a 2.05 GAA and a .938 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
Vermont and Merrimack will play their seventh and eighth games against each other this weekend. The Warriors hold a 4-1-1 all-time record against the Catamounts. The teams have played three-game series each of the previous two seasons. The Catamounts are looking for their first victory at Merrimack, entering the weekend slate with a 0-2-1 record at Lawler Rink. UVM's lone win against Merrimack was a 4-3 victory last February at Gutterson Fieldhouse. Merrimack has outscored Vermont 15-12 in the six total matchups, with two overtime wins and one regulation win by the score of 2-1.

Vermont continues Hockey East action next weekend on the road against New Hampshire. The Catamounts play at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 and at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 in Durham, New Hampshire.
