CLARKSON RECAP
The Catamounts faced defending national champion Clarkson in a home-and-home series last weekend. In the first game, UVM knocked off the third-ranked Golden Knights 3-2 at Gutterson, led by two goals from
Alyssa Gorecki and the game winner from
Taylor Willard with just over a minute remaining.
Sydney Scobee made 35 saves in the win.
Vermont traveled to Potsdam, New York to play Clarkson again on Saturday, falling 4-0 despite a career-high 46 saves for Scobee. In two games against the high-powered Clarkson offense, Vermont only allowed one even strength goal while surrendering the other five while shorthanded.
Â
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
The Terriers enter this weekend's series against the Catamounts with a 2-2-2 record in their last six games, with wins over UConn and RIT, ties against New Hampshire and UConn, and losses to RIT and Boston College.
Â
Freshman Corinne Schroeder and senior Erin O'Neil have each started five games in goal for the Terriers, with Schroeder between the pipes in five of the last six games. Schroeder is tenth in the country and leading Hockey East with a 1.75 goals against average. Her .937 save percentage is also tenth in the country and second in the conference.
Â
Seniors Victoria Bach and Rebecca Leslie lead the Terrier offense with 14 and 12 points, respectively. A trio of freshmen, Nara Elia, Kristina Schuler, and Jesse Compher all have five points entering this weekend's play.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
Vermont did not lose to Boston University last season, winning the first Hockey East game at home 3-2 before tying both games at Agganis Arena last January.
Â
SERIES HISTORY
The Catamounts and Terriers have met twice in the Hockey East Quarterfinals during the Plumer era, with BU taking both series. Plumer has five wins over BU since coming to Burlington, more than doubling Vermont's prior total.
Â
PLUMER APPROACHES HISTORY
Head Coach
Jim Plumer needs just one more win to pass Dennis Miller (1996-2006) for most wins in program history. Plumer currently sits at 70 wins, and since arriving to Burlington prior to the 2012-13 season, Plumer has broken the previous single-season wins total three times.

GORECKI REIGNING PLAYER OF THE WEEK | CatamounTV Highlights
Following her pair of goals in last Friday's win over third-ranked Clarkson, the Hockey East named Gorecki its Player of the Week. In addition to finding the back of the net twice, Gorecki had a +2 rating over both games. CatamounTV highlights from Friday night's game can be found using the link above.
NEAR THE TOP OF THE PACK
Scobee currently sits 13th in the nation and third in the conference with a .934 save percentage. Her 299 saves places her second in Hockey East, behind only New Hampshire's Ava Boutilier, and she has averaged over 33 stops per contest this season.
Â
Vermont's power play remains strong with 12 goals through 48 opportunities this season. The Catamounts rank fifth in the NCAA and third in the conference with a 25% power play rate.
Â
NEXT UP
The Catamounts host Minnesota-Duluth, RIT, and Colgate in the Third Annual Windjammer Classic next Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. UVM will play RIT at 7 p.m. on Friday and face either Colgate or UMD on Saturday. In last year's tournament, Vermont defeated St. Cloud State before falling 3-1 to eventual national champion Clarkson.
