LAST TIME OUT | Northern Kentucky Highlights
For the second time in the tournament, UVM senior guard Trae Bell-Haynes scored the game-winning shot in the final seconds as the Catamounts won the inaugural Islands of the Bahamas Showcase with a 66-64 victory over Northern Kentucky on Sunday night. Anthony Lamb registered a double-double after matching his career-high with 26 points and 14 rebounds. Lamb shot 10-for-14 from the floor with three steals along with a pair of blocks and assists. Bell-Haynes set a new season-high with 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting and dished out three assists. Payton Henson added nine points while Ernie Duncan followed with eight points for the Cats. Bell-Haynes was honored as the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase Most Valuable Player and Duncan made the All-Tournament Team.

SUCCESS IN HOME OPENERS
Since 1960, the Catamounts own a 40-17 record in regular season openers at Patrick Gym and will try to reach the win column for the fourth straight time. Maine-Fort Kent is the fifth New England opponent to visit Catamount Country in Vermont's regular season opener since 2001-02.

GETTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT
The Green and Gold are off to their third 3-1 start under John Becker. The Cats started 3-1 last season and 2012-13. Since the turn of the century, only the 2010-11 and 2002-03 UVM teams started the year with a 3-1 record.

400-ASSIST CLUB
Bell-Haynes is only two assists shy of reaching 400 in his UVM career. The senior would become the ninth Catamount to accomplish the feat and the first since the program's all-time leading distributor Brian Voelkel '14. The Toronto, Ontario native leads active America East players and his 398 assists are 116 assists more than UMass Lowell's Jahad Thomas in second place.

MID-MAJOR POWER RANKINGS
The tournament sweep in the Bahamas helped the Catamounts stay at No. 3 in this week's CollegeInsider.com Top-25 Poll, behind nationally ranked Gonzaga and St. Mary's. In the MidMajorMadness.com Power Rankings, Vermont tallied another top-five spot at No. 4 behind Gonzaga, St. Mary's, and Nevada.

SCOUTING MAINE-FORT KENT
The Bengals bring their 5-5 record to Patrick Gym after their three-game winning streak was snapped at Villa Maria on Monday night. Senior guard Anthony Knight has averaged 18.2 points per game with three 25-point performances. Sophomore center Thomas Enerva has nearly averaged a double-double with 10.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game this year. The 6-9 big man has five double-doubles to his name as four have come during a UMFK victory. Enerva leads the team with a 59.0% field goal percentage. Senior forward Travis Harlin Jr. is the third Bengal with a double-figures average (10.1 ppg). Harlin Jr. is shooting 43.8% from the floor during his final campaign in Fort Kent.
