TOYS FOR TOTS
UVM Athletics will have Toys for Tots boxes at all home games until Dec. 15 to collect new and unwrapped toys to be donated to local families in need this holiday season. The Toys for Tots drive is presented by TD Bank. Fans can make donations at the marketing table. Last year, the local Toys for Tots program served over 1,700 families, providing toys to over 5,000 children in the greater Champlain Valley area.

KIDS DAY ON SATURDAY
Friday is Kids Day! All kids wearing a hockey jersey can get into the game for free! Posters are available for pick-up at the marketing table in the Hall of Honor prior to and during the game. This is the first of three collectible posters available in the 2017-18 season.

WINDJAMMER CLASSIC
This weekend's Windjammer Classic is presented by The Windjammer! During the first Catamount game there will be a ceremonial puck drop to recognize the start of the tournament.

Fans can receive free admission by bringing a receipt from the Windjammer and Upper Deck Pub to the ticket office!

WINDJAMMER CLASSIC HISTORY
The Catamounts hosted Clarkson, St. Lawrence, and Robert Morris in last year's holiday tournament, defeating St. Cloud State in the first game before falling to future national champion Clarkson in the title game.

In the first Windjammer Classic, hosted in 2015, UVM fell to Ohio State in the opening round and then fell to Cornell in the second game. Boston University also played in the tournament, losing to Cornell before defeating Ohio State.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY RECAP | CatamounTV Highlights: Friday | Saturday
Vermont hosted Boston University in a pair of Hockey East games last weekend, falling 7-1 on Friday, Nov. 17 before losing on Saturday, Nov. 18 by a 3-1 final. Terrier seniors Victoria Bach and Rebecca Leslie picked up a combined eight goals and five assists over the weekend.

Alyssa Gorecki scored the lone Vermont goal on Friday with Saana Valkama picking up the Catamount tally on Saturday.

SCOUTING RIT
The Tigers enter the weekend with an overall record of 4-9-1 and a 1-5-0 CHA record. Against the lone common opponent with Vermont this year, RIT split a series with Boston University, losing 5-1 on Nov. 3 before taking a 2-1 overtime win on Nov. 4. Since the split with the Terriers, RIT has dropped two series to Robert Morris and Syracuse.

Kandice Sheriff leads the Tigers with nine points, and is trailed by Kendall Cornine and Mallory Rushton, each with six points. Three goalies have seen time for RIT this season, with Jessi O'Leary and Terra Lanteigne getting the majority of the minutes.

It will be the 14th meeting between the Catamounts and the Tigers, with RIT holding the all-time advantage 6-3-4. It is the first meeting since a weekend series at Gutterson Fieldhouse early in the 2014-15 season. The two teams split that series, and split the series in Rochester the year prior. Previously, the two teams had not squared off since the 2000-01 season.

SCOUTING MINNESOTA DULUTH
The Bulldogs come to the Windjammer Classic with an overall record of 7-8-0 and a WCHA record of 5-5-0. UMD lost a pair to Boston College early in the season, and are making their second and final trip to the east coast this weekend. Winners of five of their last seven, Minnesota will travel to Madison, Wisconsin to take on the undefeated Badgers next weekend.

UMD's Naomi Rogge leads the team with 13 points, and is the only Bulldog to reach double-digit points. Jessica Convery has started 13 of 15 games in goal, recording a 2.01 goals against average and a .921 save percentage in nearly 800 minutes of game play.

It will be the first opportunity for the Bulldogs and Catamounts to play in each team's history. Should UMD and UVM both win or both lose on Friday, the teams will play on Saturday. Associate head coach Jess Koizumi played at UMD from 2003-07, captaining the Bulldogs for two seasons. She finished with 155 points in 132 career games, and sits 10th in the Bulldog record book for points.

SCOUTING COLGATE
Entering the weekend with a six-game winning streak, the Raiders of Colgate (13-1-0, 5-1-0 ECAC) come to Burlington as the second-ranked team in the nation, with a loss to St. Lawrence as their only blemish. Against common opponents, Colgate knocked off Northeastern twice early in the season, defeated Clarkson in overtime, and took care of Quinnipiac at home.

Colgate has eight players who have tallied double-digit points, led by juniors Jessie Eldridge (8-8-16) and Shae Labbe (8-7-15). Sophomore Liz Auby and junior Julia Vandyk have split time between the pipes this year, both making seven starts. The two have combined for a 1.35 goals against average, a .938 save percentage, and four shutouts.

Colgate and Vermont could face off for the 28th time this weekend, with the Raiders holding the all-time series advantage 13-11-3. In the Plumer Era, the Catamounts hold a 3-1-2 record against the Raiders in six matchups, with a weekend sweep during the 2014-15 season as the most recent meeting.

FAMILY RIVALRY
Melissa Black will play against her sister, Claudia, for the first time in their collegiate careers this weekend. Claudia is a sophomore forward for the RIT Tigers, and is one of three triplets along with Melissa, and their brother, Robert.

PLUMER APPROACHES HISTORY
Head Coach Jim Plumer needs just one more win to pass Dennis Miller (1996-2006) for most wins in program history. Plumer currently sits at 70 wins, tied for most all-time. Since arriving to Burlington prior to the 2012-13 season, Plumer has broken the previous single-season wins total three times.

NEXT UP
Vermont plays its next three games against the Black Bears of Maine. UVM travels to central Maine for a pair of noontime Hockey East games on Saturday, Dec. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 3. UMO then comes to Burlington for a single game scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. The Catamounts will then have over three weeks off before heading to the Concordia University holiday tournament in Montréal, Québec.

The Windjammer and Upper Deck Pub is the presenting sponsor of the 2017-18 women's hockey season
