BOSTON – Senior
Grace Weisbecker won the pole vault and cleared a mark of 3.90m (12-09.5") to tie her own Vermont indoor record as the UVM women's track & field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday.

Weisbecker, who is originally from Tivoli, New York, originally set the record on Feb. 26, 2016 at the New England Indoor Championships, also at BU. Mary Krug previously held the top Catamount mark in the event, clearing 3.65m in the 2013 indoor season.
Mallory Honan took 16th in the long jump after recording a 5.37m mark, while
Cassie Roberge took 19th in the triple jump (11.05m).
On the track a pair of Catamounts won their respective heats in the 500 meter, as
Julia Nugent (1:19.05) and
Jessica Cartier (1:22.11) ultimately finished 19th and 35th.
Katie Nolan took 11th in the 1000 meter with a personal-best 2:54.43. In the 800 meter and mile,
Smita Boesch-Dining (2:17.94) and
Lauren Trumble (4:58.81) respectively, recorded top-50 performances.
Vermont was led in the 3000 meter by
Anna Kaplan, who claimed the 42nd position with a time of 9:57.71.
Autumn Albrecht trailed Kaplan and was 46th (9:59.27).
In the field,
Sydney Kurtic had the top Vermont mark in the shot put (11.49m).
In addition to competing in the pole vault, Weisbecker turned in a top-20 performance in the 60 meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 9.16 seconds.
In the 4x400 relay the Catamounts were 30th overall as Boesch-Dining, Nolan,
Pearl Abiti and Cartier collectively worked a time of 4:04.29.
