UVMathletics.com/Auctions. Bidding concludes 24 hours after tip-off and proceeds will be donated to the University of Vermont Cancer Center. NEW ENGLAND'S FIRST TEAM TO 20 W'S
Vermont continues to dominate the win tally among Division I programs in New England. UVM's 20 wins are five more than Rhode Island and six more New Hampshire and Providence. Northeastern has 13 victories while five teams follow with 12 wins.
AND THEN THERE WERE SIX
The Catamounts are one of six schools in the country to remain undefeated in conference play, but UVM is the only program in New England to possess an unblemished record in league play.
LAST TIME OUT | Hartford Highlights
For the ninth straight season, the Catamounts tallied a 20-win season after earning a 79-66 America East win at Hartford on Saturday night.
John Becker becomes one of seven active head coaches to record a 20-win season in each of his first six seasons.
Anthony Lamb scored a game-high 24 points with four rebounds and four blocks for the Catamounts. The freshman shot 8-of-12 from the floor and 7-of-10 from the charity stripe.
Darren Payen had a big night on both ends of the floor with 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting. Payen also muscled five boards and swatted away three shots.
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
Binghamton is looking for its fourth win in the last six games and searching for victory No. 13 on the season, which would be the most for the program in seven years. Willie Rodriguez has posted double figures for the Bearcats in 10 of the last 12 games. In his last 12 games, Rodriguez is averaging 14.0 points per game and is shooting 52.0% from inside the arc and 43.0% from three-point range. He only needs four more points to become the program's all-time leading scorer during its Division I tenure. Timmy Rose has proven himself to be one of the top facilitating guards in the league. Rose has dished out 3.9 dimes per games - good enough for fifth in the conference.
SERIES HISTORY
Vermont has won 13 of the last 15 meetings against Binghamton and lead the series 27-8. The Cats are 13-2 all-time against the Bearcats at Patrick Gym and have reached the win column in seven straight games.
John Becker is 9-2 against the Bearcats during his tenure in Catamount Country. A month ago, UVM had seven different players score at last seven points as
Payton Henson led the way with a team-high 12 points for a 67-50 win in Vestal, N.Y.
