BOSTON – Vermont freshman forward Anthony lamb was named America East Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season. The announcement was made by the conference office on Monday.

Lamb averaged 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game last week and helped the Catamounts to a 2-0 record. UVM extended their winning streak to 12 games and stayed unbeaten in conference play at 10-0 with the pair of victories. In a 79-66 winning effort at Hartford on Saturday, Lamb scored a game-high 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting with four rebounds and four blocks. Last Wednesday, the freshman notched a game-high 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in a 74-53 victory over Maine.
The Rochester, N.Y. native is the first Catamount to earn five America East Rookie of the Week selections since Four McGlynn in 2011-12.
