LAST UPSET OF A RANKED OPPONENT
Sophomore Mike Trimboli led the Catamounts with 17 points, eight assists and six rebounds as UVM stunned 14th-ranked Boston College 77-63 at Conte Forum on Nov. 13, 2006. Senior Chris Holm picked up his third career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

CATS AGAINST THE BIG 12
UVM has played six games against current and former members of the Big 12 with a 1-5 mark. The lone win came back on Dec. 30, 2008 when the Cats cruised to an 84-59 victory over Colorado in the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii. Trimboli poured in a game-high 24 points while Marqus Blakely added 16 points and six boards.

SCOUTING KANSAS
The Jayhawks current sit atop the country in two national polls - the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll. KU's 2018-19 campaign began with a 92-87 win over 10th-ranked Michigan State last Tuesday in the State Farm Champions Classic. Dedric Lawson logged a double-double against the Spartans with 20 points and 14 boards. Before the season, he was pegged as an AP Preseason All-American and named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. Kansas also returns two starters from last year's Final Four squad - Lagerald Vick and Udoka Azubuike. Vick posted 12.1 points and 4.8 boards per game as a junior on his way to garnering All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors. Azubuike led the team in scoring with 13.0 points per game and set a Big 12 single-season record with a 77.0% field-goal percentage.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE JAYHAWKS
The Catamounts and Jayhawks have met once before on Nov. 19, 2004 at Allen Fieldhouse in the season opener. Vermont led 58-54 with 4:24 left in the game but could not hold on as top-ranked Kansas pulled off a 68-61 win at Allen Fieldhouse. KU's Wayne Simien, a future NBA first round pick, had a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds. UVM star Taylor Coppenrath finished with 23 points, including 17 in the second half, and collected seven rebounds. T.J. Sorrentine added 13 points as the second Catamount to reach double figures. The matchup was the last time UVM played the No. 1 team in the nation.

VERMONT VS. BILL SELF
Monday night's game will be the third meeting between Vermont and a Bill Self-coached team. The first time was during Self's tenure at Tulsa as the two programs played at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on Dec. 4, 1998. The Golden Hurricane topped the Green and Gold 72-61. The second matchup was the 2004-05 season opener in Lawrence.
