FROM CATS TO COLONIALS
Three members of the GW coaching staff have ties to the University of Vermont. Head coach Maurice Joseph '10 played for the Catamounts from 2008-10. As a senior, he finished second on the team with a 13.9 scoring average. Assistant coach Chris Holm '07 also sported the Green and Gold for two seasons from 2005-07. He averaged a double-double as a senior with 10.6 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. His 12.2 rebounding average ranked second nationally ahead of future NBA players Kevin Durant and Glen 'Big Baby' Davis. Fellow assistant coach Hajj Turner spent six seasons (2005-11) on the sidelines at UVM, including the position of associate head coach in 2010-11. He helped the Cats to a 126-68 record and four postseason tournament berths.
ROAD WARRIORS
Since the start of the 2016-17 campaign, the Catamounts have won the most true road games of any Division I team. UVM has reached the win column 24 times on the road - four more victories than Nicholls State and Winthrop. Cincinnati, Murray State, and Tennessee follow with 19 wins over the span.
GAME NO. 250
Cioff Men's Basketball Head Coach
John Becker will coach his 250th-career game at Vermont on Wednesday night. He will become the third coach in school history to coach over 250 career games at UVM, joining Tom Brennan and John 'Fuzzy' Evans. From the two prior coaches, Becker has the most career victories (169) and a better career winning percentage (.679) through 250 games.

SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
The Colonials earned their first win of the season, a 70-43 rout of Manhattan on Saturday, which snapped a five-game skid to begin the year. GW has been one of the top outside shooting teams in the Atlantic 10. The Colonials have shot 31.9% as a unit, the fifth-best mark in the conference. DJ Williams has logged double figures in four straight games (15.2 ppg) and has shot 44.7% (21-for-47) from the field during the four-game stretch. Nolan Terry ranks second on the team with an 11.8 scoring average. The sophomore has posted the fifth-best three-point percentage (45.7%) among the A-10's best shooters. Arnarldo Toro is close to averaging a double-double this season with 9.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. The Hormigueros, Puerto Rico native recorded his second double-double of 2018-19 against Manhattan with 13 points and 11 boards.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Wednesday night will mark the second ever meeting between the two programs and the first since 2008. The two programs met back on Dec. 27, 2008 as a part of the Outrigger Hotel Rainbow Classic, hosted at the University of Hawaii. Vermont held off a late GW rally for an 83-72 win. Joseph was one of four Catamounts to score double figures with a team-high 18 points.
