UVM redshirt senior
Payton Henson became the 38th Catamount to surpass the 1,000-career point mark as Vermont held off Stony Brook 69-60 on Saturday night. Henson reached the career milestone with a 17-point effort, including 14 points in the second half. He was 6-of-8 from the floor and collected nine rebounds.
Trae Bell-Haynes scored a team-high 19 points with six assists and five boards.
Drew Urquhart rounded out three seniors in double figures with 16 points and grabbed six rebounds.
ROAD WARRIORS
The Catamounts have won nine straight road games, which is tied with Gonzaga for the longest active road winning streak in the country.
MOST WINS BY A GRADUATING CLASS
With one more win, the Class of 2018 will set the school record for the most victories by a graduating class. The group has racked up 96 victories during their time in Burlington, which is tied with the Class of 2012.
JOINING THE 1,000-POINT CLUB
In back-to-back games, a Catamount has reached the 1,000-career point plateau.
Ernie Duncan hit the milestone with an 18-point effort against Binghamton on Wednesday, then Henson achieved the feat after dropping 17 points at Stony Brook on Saturday.
SCOUTING MAINE
Maine has clinched the No. 8 seed in the upcoming America East Tournament. Aaron Calixte ranks third among the league's top scorers with a 19.3 scoring average during conference play. The junior is coming off a season-high 25 points at Albany on Saturday and has posted 20.4 points per game over his last five outings. Isaiah White is tied for the league lead with 24 blocks against America East foes. White leads the Black Bears with 5.5 rebounds and sits second on the team with a 12.1 scoring average in conference games. Andrew Fleming has logged double figures in three straight contests and seven out of his last eight overall.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Green and Gold have won 12 in a row over the Black Bears in an effort to even up the head-to-head record. Maine holds a close 70-68 edge over UVM, but the Black Bears have not beat the Catamounts in their home state since Jan. 22, 2013. Last month, Urquhart set a new career high with 21 points as the Cats beat Maine 82-63 win at Patrick Gym.
