BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont women's soccer program has announced its 17-game regular season schedule for the upcoming 2018 season. Vermont will play opponents from seven different conferences spanning across 11 states this year.

The Catamounts will open the season with three straight home games. The 2018 campaign will get underway with a visit from American on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 12 p.m. UVM will follow by hosting the TD Bank Classic as it welcomes Maine, Marist, and St. Mary's (Calif.). The Cats will play St. Mary's on Friday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. and Marist on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 2:30 p.m.
Vermont will spend Labor Day Weekend out west at the Montana Invitational. The Green and Gold will take on a pair of Big Sky opponents - host Montana on Friday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. (EST) and Idaho on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 12 p.m. (EST).
UVM will continue its four-game road trip at Sacred Heart on Sunday, Sept. 9 with a 12 p.m. kickoff and Brown on Thursday, Sept. 13 under the lights at 7 p.m.
The Cats will return to Burlington for a four-game homestand. The non-conference slate will conclude with Bryant on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 12 p.m. and Siena on Thursday, Sept. 20 with a 7 p.m. game time. Vermont opens America East play with a semifinal rematch against Binghamton on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. and Hartford on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
The Catamounts will make their first conference road trip of the season with a rematch of last year's America East title game at Stony Brook on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. UVM will make the trip to Albany, last year's quarterfinal opponent, on Thursday, Oct. 4 with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Vermont will make a brief stop back in Catamount Country against UMBC on Sunday, Oct. 7 before heading to New Hampshire on Thursday, Oct. 11 and Maine on Sunday, Oct. 14.
The program will honor its seniors for Senior Day against UMass Lowell on Thursday, Oct. 18 under the lights of Virtue Field at 7 p.m. in the regular season finale.
The top six teams in the final regular season standings will advance to the America East Tournament. The playoffs are set to begin on Saturday, Nov. 3 with the quarterfinals. The semifinals are slated for Wednesday, Nov. 7 and the championship game will be held on Nov. 10 or 11. The winner of the America East Tournament earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
The Catamounts made their first-ever trip to the America East Championship Game last season and have advanced to at least the conference semifinal three straight years. UVM has also tallied 24 victories over the three-year span, its highest total since 1996-98 when the group reached the win column 30 times.
Vermont will return three out of its top four scorers –
Brooke Jenkins,
Savana Yurick, and
Ella Bankert. Jenkins, an America East All-Conference Second Team selection, led the team with 16 points on seven goals and two assists. Yurick followed with eight points on three goals and handed out two assists. Bankert was named to the America East All-Rookie Team after netting a trio of goals.
