BURLINGTON, Vt. – Former Notre Dame standout Casey Pearsall will join the UVM women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach. Head coach
Sarah Dalton made the announcement on Wednesday.
"I am really excited for Casey Pearsall to join the UVM women's lacrosse program as a member of our coaching staff," Dalton said. "Casey is passionate, hardworking, and competitive in everything that she does and I believe she will be a great resource for our student-athletes. Having watched her grow as a student-athlete and continue her career in the women's professional league, she will be able to have an impact all over the field."
Pearsall comes to Catamount Country after serving as an assistant varsity lacrosse coach at The Harpeth Hall, an all-girls preparatory school, in Nashville, Tennessee. She also took Team Tennessee, comprised of the top high school lacrosse players in the state, to the U.S. Lacrosse Association Girl's National Tournament in June. For the past two years, she has been the club lacrosse coach for TNLax – coaching off-season lacrosse in the fall and summer to middle and high school girls in Tennessee.
A three-time All-American at Notre Dame, Pearsall accrued over 100 career points from 2014-17 including three of Dalton's four seasons as offensive coordinator with the Fighting Irish. As a senior, she was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, awarded to the nation's top college lacrosse player, and collected an All-ACC First Team nod.
She earned a bachelor's degree in management consulting and psychology from Notre Dame in 2017. In the classroom, she was a two-time ACC All-Academic Team selection.
After Notre Dame, Pearsall played professionally with the Long Island Sound of the United Women's Lacrosse League along with Upstate Pride in the Women's Professional Lacrosse League.
