FINAL SCORE: Rhode Island 175, Vermont 125
BURLINGTON, Vt. – Kristina Posnick won a pair of events on Saturday at Forbush, but the Rhode Island Rams (7-0) claimed a 175-125 victory over the Vermont Catamounts (4-5, 2-1 AE) on Senior Day, presented by the UVM Alumni Association.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Vermont 200 medley relay team of Kendall Ware, Haley Gula, Sierra Sexton, and Kira Parker opened the meet with a second place finish, posting a time of 1:49.81. Ware later won the 100 back with a time of 1:01.27. Gula later finished second in both the 100 breast (1:08.44) and 200 breast (2:28.52).
- Parker (24.87) and Sexton (25.22) combined to finish second and third, respectively, in the in the 50 free.
- Senior Kristina Posnick took first in the 1,000 free after finishing with a time of 10:41.77. She also claimed the podium in the 500 free with a time of 5:13.59.
- Sophia Smith (1:57.25) took first in the 200 free to give Vermont its second win of the afternoon.
- Morgan Montgomery won the 200 back with a mark of 2:09.77.
- Captain Julia DeGregorio posted a time of 2:10.50 to take first in the 200 fly. She took second in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.18.
- Senior Ashley Branagan placed third in the one-meter dive with a score of 216.44 and third in the three-meter dive with a score of 220.49. Sophomore Emily Murphy finished took second in the three-meter board (230.92).
UP NEXT
Vermont competes in the four-day America East Championships in Worcester, Massachusetts next month. The meet begins Thursday, Feb. 14 and continues through Sunday, Feb. 17.
