In the latest NCAA stats rankings, Vermont ranks No. 29 nationally in shot accuracy. The Cats have landed 60 of their 111 shot attempts on frame for a .541 percentage. UVM's plus-50 shot accuracy percentage is the best by a New England team behind only Dartmouth (.566) and Harvard (.542).
LAMBERTSON IN THE MIX
Junior goalie
Kacey Lambertson stands among the league's best netminders. She currently owns the third-best save percentage (.810) and has stopped the fourth-most shots (37). The Matawan, New Jersey native is also one of three America East keepers to record a clean sheet.
SCOUTING HARTFORD
The Hawks, picked second in this year's America East preseason rankings, have split their first two matches of conference play with a 2-1 loss at UAlbany on Sept. 22 and a 2-1 overtime win over UMass Lowell on Sunday. Hartford has the fourth-highest scoring offense in the conference with 39 points (14 goals, 11 assists). The Hawks' attack has been fueled by Sierra Stone. The senior paces the league with five assists and has logged five points in her last three games. Izzy Lachcik sits in eighth on the league's goals list with three goals – all have come within the last three matches. In net, Maia Perez is the America East frontrunner with 49 saves and has posted a 1.05 goals-against average.
INSIDE THE SERIES
UVM has reached the win column five times against the Hawks. Since 2014, the outcome has been decided by one goal or less five times and at least one overtime period was needed to determine a winner in each of the last three seasons. Last year, the two foes extended unbeaten streaks with a 1-1 draw at Virtue Field.
