Lamb, the reigning America East Player of the Year, returns for his senior year after leading the conference in scoring (21.2) and rebounding (7.8) as a junior. The Rochester, New York native had a season for the books in 2018-19. He made the second-most field goals (242), racked up the third-most points (687), and had the seventh-best scoring average in school history. In the career rankings, Lamb enters his final season at No. 13 in points (1,385), seventh in points per game (16.3), and seventh in blocks (119). The 6-6 forward's list of preseason accolades includes a Julius Erving Award Watch List nod, a Preseason Mid-Major All-American selection by Stadium college basketball insider Jeff Goodman, and he landed on the America East Preseason All-Conference Team. Duncan saw action in 33 games and earned 10 starts as a redshirt junior. He posted the fourth-highest three-point percentage (36.7%) on the team and buried 36 triples. The Evansville, Indiana native tallied seven double-digit scoring efforts, including a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds against UMBC on Jan. 23. Duncan also notched a career-high 20 points, knocked down three triples, and corralled seven boards in a 73-52 win at Stony Brook. In the postseason, he made history alongside his brothers,

Robin Duncan, as the only trio of brothers to play in the same NCAA Tournament game. The 6-6 guard is also near the top of the UVM all-time ranks with a 40.9% career three-point percentage, trailing only his older brother Ernie (41.9%).

Vermont finished the 2018-19 campaign with a 27-7 record, tied for the second-most wins in program history, and captured its seventh America East title. After boasting a 14-2 league record, the Cats also won their ninth regular season conference championship. Coming into the new season, the Catamounts received two votes in the Associated Press (AP) Preseason Top-25 Poll for the second time ever and selected as the America East preseason favorite for the fourth straight season.Â
UVM will open the 2019-20 campaign with an exhibition game against Brown  on Saturday (Oct. 26) at 7 p.m. Vermont will be retiring the jerseys of Taylor Coppenrath '05 and T.J. Sorrentine '05 from the legendary 2004-05 team that upset fourth-seeded Syracuse for the program's first win in an NCAA Tournament.
