SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN (0-1-0, 0-1-0 ECAC)
Dartmouth enters Tuesday's contest having only played one game this season, which was a 7-4 loss to fellow Ivy League school Harvard.
Â
Rookies CC Bowlby and Catherine Trevors lead the team with two points along with sophomore Gabby Billing. Bowlby and Trevors each had a goal and an assist while Billing has two helpers in the Big Green's opener. Sara McLanahan led all returners in goals (6) and points (12) a season ago. Christina Rombaut and blueliner Lotti Odnoga also recorded 12 points in the 2018-19 campaign.
Â
Freshman Hannah Humphreys made her collegiate debut in goal during the season opener, stopping 21 of 28 shots for a .750 save percentage and 7.00 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts are 3-17-0 in the all-time series with the Big Green as the former foes play for the 21st time in the history of the two programs. Vermont squared off regularly with Dartmouth as members of the ECAC from 2001 to 2005.
Â
UVM has faced Dartmouth only six times in head coach
Jim Plumer's tenure, splitting the series 3-3. Vermont has won two of the last three contests against Dartmouth with the last win coming on December 10, 2016 at Gutterson Fieldhouse.
Â
The Cats made the trip down I-89 to Hanover, New Hampshire last season, but fell to the Big Green 3-1. Â

KARJALAINEN NAMED HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Vermont blueliner
Sini Karjalainen was named Hockey East Player of the Week following a nation-leading six point weekend. Hockey East announced its weekly awards earlier Monday.
Â
Karjalainen's six points came from one goal and five assists, which included a UVM record-matching four-assist game on Friday (Oct. 25) at Merrimack. The Posio, Finland native was the first Catamount in Division-I program history to have four helpers in a single game –Cealy Nottingham '01 had four assists on January 23, 1999 when Vermont competed in Division III.
Â
The sophomore doubled her season point total to 12 on two goals and 10 assists. As Vermont's leading points-scorer, Karjalainen has a one point lead over Boston College's Cayla Barnes for the most by a Hockey East defenseman.
LOOKING BACK AT LAST WEEKEND
Vermont took three of a possible four Hockey East points against the Merrimack Warriors last weekend in North Andover, Massachusetts.
Â
UVM battled to a 4-4 tie on Friday (Oct. 25) after coming back from a 3-1 deficit in the second period. Karjalainen had her record four-assist performance while rookie
Lily Humphrey registered her first career two-goal game.
Corinne McCool had two points (1 goal, 1 assist) and
Val Caldwell had two helpers.
Â
Caldwell had a huge four-point performance (2 goals, 2 assists) the following day to match the single-game record at UVM as the Catamounts exploded to a 6-2 victory.
Maude Poulin-Labelle tallied a goal and two assists while Karjalainen added two points including the game-winning goal.
CALDWELL TIES RECORD
Val Caldwell tied the UVM single-game record for most points in Saturday's win over Merrimack. The junior forward opened the scoring 3:31 into the game and added three more points to become the 10th skater in program history to register a four-point game. A native of Planview, Illinois, Caldwell joins Karjalainen and Picard as the only current Catamounts to match the record.
