MEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
Vermont hosts 16th-ranked Boston College (5-4-0, 3-2-0 HEAM) in a pair of conference games this Friday (Nov. 15) and Saturday (Nov. 16) at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Both games are slated to begin at 7:05 p.m. and will broadcast locally on WVMT (FM 96.3 / AM 620). Fans can listen to the call through TuneIn.com using the links below. UVM ATHLETICS CALENDARS COURTESY OF KINNEY DRUGS – FRIDAY
The first 500 fans in attendance Friday will receive a UVM Athletics Calendar courtesy of Kinney Drugs. The calendars feature drawings from young Catamount fans on what they love most about their favorite teams.

STAR WARS NIGHT PRESENTED BY DEE PHYSICAL THERAPY - SATURDAY
Saturday's tilt is Vermont's Star Wars Night presented by Dee Physical Therapy. The first 500 students in attendance will receive a Catamounts Star Wars shirt. Fans will be able to take photos with the 501st Legion New England Garrison in attendance. There will also be Star Wars trivia throughout the game where fans will have chances to win tickets to the opening night of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Fans are encouraged to bring diapers to the game to support the 2019 Dee PT Diaper Drive to benefit COTS Vermont. The diapers go to local families in temporary shelters to help those families return to stable housing situations.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Jerry York enters his 26th season as head coach of the Eagles. The 1967 BC grad will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame next week. The Eagles fell to Providence and New Hampshire to open Hockey East play before beating the Friars in overtime and UConn twice in its last three games. BC opened the season with wins over Wisconsin and Colgate before falling twice at Denver.Â

The 2019-20 Eagles roster features 12 NHL Draft picks, headlined by the 12th, 13th, and 16th overall picks in the 2019 Draft: Matt Boldy (12th - MIN), Spencer Knight (13th - FLA), and Alex Newhook (16th - COL). With 12 NHL picks on its roster, Boston College is tied with Boston University and Wisconsin for second-most in the NCAA. BC is tied with Wisconsin with three first-round selections on its roster.

Senior Julius Mattila leads the team in assists (9) and points (12). He is fourth in Hockey East and tied for 15th in the NCAA with 1.00 assists/game.

Knight is sixth in Hockey East and 22nd-nationally with a 2.22 GAA. That mark is fifth in the country among rookie goalies. He is fourth in Hockey East and 20th-nationally with a .925 save percentage. That mark is fourth among rookie goalies.

BROVEMBER TO BENEFIT UVM CANCER CENTER | DONATE
The Catamounts have partnered with the UVM Medical Center to raise money in the month of November for the Center's Brovember initiative. The team will grow mustaches to support of the fundraiser and all money raised goes directly to the UVM Cancer Center.

LUCAS FINDS TWINE
Freshman defenseman
Andrew Lucas scored his first career goal in UVM's second meeting with UMass Lowell (Nov. 2). The Alexandria, Virginia native leads the team in points (4) and is tied for the lead in assists (3). He is 33rd in the country in scoring per game among freshmen and tied for 46th-nationally in scoring among defensemen. Among rookie blueliners, Lucas is fourth in Hockey East and 10th in the country in scoring.
