"We are consistently able to celebrate the outstanding work our teams do in the classroom," said head coach Matt Belfield. "These awards are a tribute to the commitment each of them make to honor the primary purpose of our existence. We are no less competitive athletically than others, but value the educational opportunity that UVM affords us to its full extent. These four deserve my congratulations, and to all of our great student-athletes, I say thank you for keeping your priorities in line with our mission."

Sogoloff earns the first All-Academic honor of her career. The Marblehead, Massachusetts native has posted a 3.96 GPA while majoring in Exercise Science. The sophomore finished in seventh place at the 2019 America East Championships and earned All-Conference First Team honors. Sogoloff was also named Most Outstanding Rookie by the conference.

Benner is named to the All-Academic Team for the second consecutive season. The captain has accrued a 3.73 GPA as a Natural Resources major. A native of Needham, Massachusetts, Benner earned All-Conference Second Team honors with a 11th-place finish at the conference championships. Benner also recorded a win in the season-opening meet and posted a blazing fast 8k time of 24:12.8 at the Paul Short Invitational.

In his senior season, Caulfield gets his first cross country All-Academic honor. He has previously been named to the Track & Field All-Academic team. He also earned the America East Elite 18 award for excellence in athletics and academics at last year's outdoor track championships. Caulfield has tallied a 3.94 GPA while studying English at UVM. The captain registered a personal record in the America East Championships with an 8k time of  24:41.4 for 18th overall.

Gish earns the All-Academic Honor for the first time in his career. The Sharon, Vermont native has posted a 3.97 GPA as a Geography major. In his senior season, Gish posted a career-best 8k time of 25:03.8 at the America East Championships for 32nd place.

All four Catamounts were key contributors to a historic showing at the America East Championships. The Vermont women took second place for their highest conference finish since 1999. The UVM men recorded their highest finish since 1992 when they took third place in the conference.
