Â
Chosen by a preseason poll of national college basketball experts, the list is comprised of 50 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for the most prestigious honors in college basketball, the Wooden Award All-American Team and Most Outstanding Player Award.
Â
The Wooden Award All-American Team will be announced during the week of the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. The winner of the 2020 John R. Wooden Award will be unveiled during the ESPN College Basketball Awards on Friday, April 10, 2020.
Â
Lamb is one of seven mid-major players to receive the honor. He is accompanied by Western Kentucky's Charles Bassey, Detroit Mercy's Antoine Davis, Saint Mary's Jordon Ford, Davidson's Kellan Grady and Jon Axel Bundmundsson, Utah State's Sam Merrill, and Gonzaga's Killian Tillie. Lamb is also the first America East player selected to the Wooden Award Preseason Watch List since former Catamount great Taylor Coppenrath '05.
Â
Lamb also earned a Naismith Trophy Watch List nod on Monday. The Rochester, New York native was an America East Preseason All-Conference Team pick after leading the league in scoring (21.2 ppg) and rebounding (7.8 rpg) a year ago. Previously this offseason, the reigning America East Player of the Year made the Julius Erving Award Watch List and was ranked as one of the top Division I basketball players by NBC Sports and Sports Illustrated.
