French enters his senior season in 2020 as the program's active leader in goals (78), assists (24) and points (102). He led the team in goals a season ago with 29 and became just the 24th Catamount in program history to reach 100 career points. French earned America East Second Team All-Conference honors in 2019 and All-Rookie honors in 2017.
Washuta has started nearly every game in goal for Vermont since arriving as a freshman. The Orono, Minnesota native earned USILA All-America Honorable Mention honors as a sophomore in 2018 and America East First Team All-Conference honors as a junior in 2019. Washuta posted the best single-season of any goalie in program history in 2018, and enters the 2020 season third in UVM history with 24 career wins, just six shy of the record.
Decker, the junior captain, has missed just two games since arriving to Catamount Country as a freshman. Decker scooped 15 ground balls and added four caused turnovers as a wing in 2018. Last season, Decker had seven ground balls as a short-stick defensive midfielder.
The 2020 Catamounts open the season with scrimmages at Maryland (Jan. 18), at Syracuse (Jan. 25), and at Bryant (Feb. 1). The Catamounts open the regular season at Jacksonville on Saturday, Feb. 8. Vermont's home opener comes Saturday, Feb. 22 with the Quinnipiac Bobcats making the trip to Burlington for the second straight year.
Vermont looks to make its third consecutive trip to the America East Championship under Feifs.
